Swami Vivekanand University is established by the Act of State Legislature, M.P. and is notified in the Official Gazette {Act No. 44 of 2011 The Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalaya (Staphana Avam Sanchalan) Tritiya Sansodhan Adhiniyam, 2011 Dated 31 Dec. 2011} of the State Government after having received the assent of his excellency Governor of Madhya Pradesh, who is the Visitor of SVN University.

SVN University is managed by Prakhar Pragya Shiksha Prasar Avam Samaj Kalyan Samiti, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh (INDIA). It is spread over about 65 acres lush green land situated in pollution free, healthy and natural environment at a distance of 8 km from Sagar city on Jhansi-Lakhanadon highway (NH-26) and 12 km from Dhana air strip.

SVN University is established to develop aspiring persons into young intelligent technocrats, with a view to accomplish vision, the management of SVN University has developed excellent teaching, learning facilities and environment. The campus has been specially designed to cater to the needs of Madhya Pradesh climate to function efficiently.
