The IETE is recognized by Government of India as an EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE OF NATIONAL EMINENCE. It is also recognized by Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Scientific and Industrial research as a Scientific and Industrial research organization (SIRO).
The IETE in collaboration with the ministry of HRD has also transmitted lessons for polytechnic teachers. |

The IETE helps the students by extending library facilities, coaching assistance, coordination of IETE students forums and providing continuing education etc. at its local centers.

About the Course

Examination is conducted by the Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers and recognized by Government of India as equivalent to degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology. The Final Degree is awarded by IETE. The minimum marks for exemption (pass) in any subject is 40% and aggregate 50%.
Government of India recognizes a pass in A.M.I.E.T.E. examination at section A and Section B level for the purpose of the requirement to executive posts and commissioned rank in the service appropriate fields under the central Government, candidates with A.M.I.E.T.E. qualification are eligible to apply for any job in government, public sector, where B.E. is prescribed as minimum qualification for the post.
Many graduates from IETE have already got admission in postgraduate courses (Ms) in USA.
